TROY, MI – On May 18th, 2019, at about 5:35PM, Troy Police Officers responded to Red Fox Trail, East of Bronson Drive, concerning a roll-over accident with injuries.
The officers located the vehicle, a tan 2017 Chrysler Pacifica, and confirmed that it did in-fact, roll-over, and the driver was able to exit it but was injured.
The officers spoke with the driver, a 45 year old woman, who admitted that she was texting and driving prior to the accident. While speaking with the driver, the officers noted an odor of alcohol emanating from her. When asked, she admitted to having consumed two drinks that contained alcohol.
She was asked to perform several sobriety evaluations to which she did but the officers noted that she performed poorly. She submitted to a Preliminary Breath Test with a result of .282%.
She was arrested and charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol.
