DETROIT, MI – One person was shot and killed outside of Mandee’s on Sunday June 9th, 2019.
Mandee’s, which is located at 17132 Conant St, had a large crowd when gunfire rang out. The shooting took place at about 9:00 PM.
We continue to work to find out find out exactly what happened at the Car Show at Mandees. A witness stated that the victim was shot at least 7 times with possibly his own weapon. The victim was said to have pulled the gun out during an argument with another man. The person he had intent of shooting managed to get the weapon from him. Then the intended victim shot the original gunman 7 times, killing him.
During the early morning newscast on WXYZ.com, they stated that the man who had wrestled the gun away from the original shooter handed the weapon off to another man. It was at that time both left the area on foot
The victim went by the name of Tone and was also known on the street as Hothead. His actual name was Anthony Brown.
The intended victim/actual shooter has not been taken into custody as of yet. It is unknown if he will face charges if the information is correct that he took the gun and used it in self defense.
