Detroit Police ask for Help to Identify East side Robbery Suspect

DETROIT, MI – The Detroit Police Department needs the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a male suspect wanted in connection with a robbery of a senior citizen that occurred on the city’s east side.

On Monday, June 17th, 2019, at approximately 8:45 a.m. a 66-year old man was at a gas station in the 1900 block of E 7 Mile Rd. An unknown suspect approached the victim pushed him to the ground and struck the victim with a closed fist and forcefully took an unknown amount of U.S. currency. The suspect then fled the location northbound on Dequindre in a white older model Chrysler Sebring.

The suspect is described as black man with a medium complexion, a goatee and mustache. He was wearing a camouflage jacket with stone washed blue jeans and red, white & blue Nike gym shoes.
