HURON TOWNSHIP, MI -On June 23rd, 2018 at 1:19a.m., the Huron Township Department of Public Safety Police and Fire Divisions responded to the 18400 block of Hannan Road for an injury accident.
Upon arrival, officers and medical personnel on the scene found the vehicle fully engulfed in flames and the driver trapped inside the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene.
The Michigan State Police Accident Reconstruction Team responded to the scene to assist the Huron Township Traffic Services Unit with the investigation. The investigation is ongoing and further information will be released when available.
The initial investigation indicates that vehicle speed and alcohol appear to be factors in the crash. No one else was injured. The victim has not been positively identified at this time; therefore, no victim information is being released. The investigation is ongoing.
