Burglary Arrest in Lapeer County

NORTH BRANCH, MI – On Monday July 1st, 2019 at 9:31 PM, Lapeer County 911 received a call from a neighbor regarding a suspicious vehicle parked next to a vacant house on Barnes Road near Binden Road in North Branch (Rich Township- Lapeer County).

Lapeer County Sheriff’s Deputies arrived and located the SUV along with two male individuals on the premises. During the initial encounter, the individuals provided numerous conflicting explanations for their purpose of visiting.

Items were discovered removed from the house including cooper piping, jewelry, and a transit. The property owner was contacted and advised that these items were previously within the residence and the individuals had no ligament purpose for visiting.

The two individuals were immediately arrested and lodged at the Lapeer County Jail. On Tuesday 07-02-2019, the investigation was presented to the Lapeer County Prosecutor’s Office. Lapeer County Assistant Prosecutor Tom Sparrow issued one count of Burglary with Intent against both individuals.

71-A District Court Magistrate Greg Wise arraigned both individuals during the afternoon hours of Tuesday 07-02-2019.

James Kedzierski age 46- North Branch, Bond set at $10,000 cash or surety (bond posted by bonding company on 07-03-2019)

Randy Auchmuty age 43- Marysville Bond set at $20,000 personal recognizance
