On July 18, 2019 at 12:27p.m. in the 17400 block of Indiana, Williams had an argument over landscaping with a 69-year-old male neighbor while he was cutting his lawn.
She is alleged to have gotten a handgun and shot the man in his foot. She also waived the gun around and pointed it at a man and two women during the incident. The 69-year-old man was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Andrea Williams has been charged with Assault Great Bodily Harm, three counts of Felonious Assault, Carrying a Dangerous Weapon with Unlawful Intent, and five counts of Felony Firearm. Her arraignment was held today at 11:00 a.m. in 34th District Court in Romulus.
Williams was arraigned out-county on July 21, 2019 before 34th District Court Magistrate Allen Hindman. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for July 31, 2019 at 8:30 a.m.; the Preliminary Examination is scheduled for August 7, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. Both hearings are before Judge Michael Wagner in 36th District Court. The defendant received a $5,000/10% bond.
