Victim Identified in Triple Shooting on Detroit’s West side [Updated]

DETROIT, MI – The victim in the triple shooting on Detroit’s west side early Monday morning has been identified on social media as being that of Jeff Williams, 29-years-old, of Detroit.

Jeff Williams was shot and killed at approximately 12:30AM. Two other individuals were also shot but survived their injuries. Williams was found laying in the street at Washburn and Buena Vista. Police say he was shot multiple times and ran over by a car.

The second victim, a 54-year-old man, suffered a graze wound to his arm and was taken to the 10th precinct for medical treatment. The third victim, a woman, showed up at the hospital with a gunshot wound to the shoulder. She is in serious condition.

The Detroit Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a person of interest who may have information on this  shooting. It is reported that a person of interest who was driving a dark colored vehicle possibly a Dodge Caliber or Monte Carlo was seen leaving the scene of the shooting.

It is unknown at this time who fired the shots, however the person of interest may have information that can help.
