Suspect Wanted for Shooting 16 yr old near Fireworks Tent on Detroit’s Westside

DETROIT, MI – The Detroit Police Department needs the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a male suspect in connection to a non-fatal shooting that occurred on the city’s west side.Suspect - 15000 Joy Rd

On Tuesday, July 2nd, 2019, at approximately 12:18 a.m., in the 15000 block of Joy Rd, a 16-year old boy was shot while attempting to purchase fireworks from a tent located on the corner of Greenfield Rd. and Joy Rd.

It is reported that the suspect, who fired the shots was inside of the tent.

The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment and is in stable condition.

The suspect can be described as a black male, 31 years old, medium complexion, medium build.
