DEARBORN, MI – On the morning of June 4th, 2019, and while officers were addressing a previous home invasion incident, a 911 call was received about a family trouble with shots fired.
Officers secured the home as the responsible party retreated inside. Multiple department assets were dispatched, including Crisis Negotiation Team officers, the Dearborn Bomb Squad, members of the Dearborn SWAT team and detectives.
Ahmad Ayoub, 24-years-old, of Dearborn, was eventually taken into custody. The handgun that was used in the incident was found to be stolen in a previous theft from an unlocked vehicle. Ayoub was charged by the Wayne County Prosecutor with multiple felonies. Ayoub was arraigned in front of the Honorable Judge Salamey of the 19th District Court. He was given a $250,000 cash bond.
Ayoub pled not guilty at the 3rd Circuit Court and will have a trial conference on August 15th.
