JAMESTOWN TOWNSHIP, MI – On Thursday August 1st, 2019 at 11:47PM deputies from the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two vehicle injury crash on Greenly Street at 24th Ave in Jamestown Township of Ottawa County.
The preliminary investigation at the scene revealed that a 21-year-old Hudsonville woman was driving a 2003 Ford Taurus west on Greenly Street when she failed to stop for the stop sign at 24th Ave. That intersection is a two way stop for Greenly, while 24th Avenue does not have to stop.
The Taurus was broadsided in the passenger side by a 2009 GMC Arcadia being driven southbound on 24th Avenue by a 52-year-old woman from Hamilton.
The 21-year-old woman, the driver of the Taurus, was transported to Spectrum Hospital via Aeromed in critical condition.
The 52-year-old woman, the driver of the Arcadia, was not injured in the crash.
This crash remains under investigation by the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office, and the intersection remained closed during the on-scene investigation.
