Flint Man Convicted of Home Invasion and Assault of his Child’s Mother

FLINT, MI – On Thursday August 8th, 2019, Dmarque Dansby, of Flint, was found guilty of home invasion, domestic violence and aggravated stalking related to an incident from 2016.Guilty Gavel

Dmarque Dansby, 35-years-old, was charged and convicted for breaking into the home of his former girlfriend and mother of his child the morning of May 13th, 2016. Once inside the victim’s home, Dansby began punching and choking her and chasing her around the home while she was holding their 1-year-old child.

According to trial testimony from the victim, the couple had separated months earlier and Dansby had been harassing her and stalking her ever since. The victim also testified as to prior domestic violence incidents by Dansby in the past.

Dansby faces up to 20 years in prison on the home invasion conviction when he is sentenced on September 9th.
