25-yr old Isabella County Man Killed in Rollover Crash

ISABELLA COUNTY, MI – Saturday, August 10, 2019, at 3:08AM, the Isabella County Sheriff’s Office responded to a one car rollover accident that claimed the life a 25-year-old Wise township man.Zack MacDonald

The man, identified on social media as Zack MacDonald, was traveling in the 10000 block of East Denver Road near Chippewa Road, in a 1997 GMC Sonoma pickup truck, when he passed his girlfriend who was in another vehicle. MacDonald then lost control of the vehicle he was driving. The vehicle rolled over several times. He was partially ejected from his pickup truck.

Authorities listed seat belt as a factor in the incident.

Deputies were assisted by the Isabella Fire Department and Mobile Medical Response.

Wise Township is located just northeast of Mount Pleasant.

Obituary for Zachary Scott MacDonald

Zachary Scott MacDonald, 25, of Coleman, died Saturday August 10, 2019 as the result of an automobile accident. He was born October 5, 1993 in Midland the son of Scott & Wanda (Owens) MacDonald. Zack was employed with Dynamic Crushing of Greenville. He enjoyed working with the backhoe, farming, mud bogs and trail riding on his quad. Zack’s greatest pleasure was spending time at the farm and pond with his family.

Survivors include his children; Dakota, Amiah and Kason MacDonald, parents, Wanda MacDonald of Coleman, Scott MacDonald, Sr. of Clare, brothers, Scott MacDonald, Jr., Travis Lane both of Coleman, sisters, Michele Owens, Amanda MacDonald both of Coleman, grandparents, Darlene Owens of Coleman, Jack MacDonald of Coleman, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Russell Owens and Janet MacDonald.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Thursday August 15, 2019 at the O’Laughlin Funeral Home, Inc. Burial will take place in the Riverlawn Cemetery, Denver Township. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 m and on Thursday starting at 10 am until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, please consider contributions to the family.
