HENRIETTA TOWNSHIP, MI – A 28 year-man was killed in a farming accident on Monday August 12, 2019. He is being identified as Tyler Thomas Brown. He was killed when the farm tractor he was using overturned.
The Michigan State Police Jackson Post investigated a non-traffic crash of a tractor that occurred on private property off Coon Hill Road, between Autumn Lane and Sayers Road.
Tyler Brown, a 28-year-old Henrietta Township man, was removing a tree on the property and as the tree was uprooted, the tractor overturned backwards. Brown suffered multiple severe injuries and despite the efforts of witnesses and first responders, he later died as a result of the accident.
Troopers were assisted by SAESA EMS, Jackson Community Ambulance (JCA), Henrietta EMS, and the Henrietta Township Fire Department.

Tyler Thomas Brown, age 28, died on August 12, 2019. He was born on July 10, 1991 the son of Gyle Brown and Patricia Hadley in Jackson, MI. He is survived by his parents and brothers, Jamie (Molly) Christie and Cody (Diane) Brown, as well as many nieces, nephews and special friends.
Tyler was the youngest of three children. He liked hunting and riding his Harley and loved going to Colorado. His dogs were like his kids. He loved his nieces and nephews and had a lot of good friends. Tyler went to Stockbridge High School and graduated the class of 2009. He was proud of his house and property he owned in Munith.
A gathering of friends and family will take place on Thursday, August 15, 2019 from 4-6 p.m. at Caskey-Mitchell Funeral Home, Stockbridge, MI. Contributions may be made to the family.
