Chesterfield Township TCF Bank Robbed by Burka Wearing Suspect

CHESTERFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI – On Thursday August 22nd, 2019, at approximately 10:00AM, a person intent on robbing the TCF Bank, entered wearing a burka as a disguise.

Obviously wearing a burka as a disguise to rob a bank is a bit unusual for what appears to be a man. If he were trying to go for a look that was less threatening, he accomplished that goal.  If wearing the garment was one of comfort and to make himself feel and look more attractive, he missed the mark.

The unknown suspect, who appears to be a man, shown in the attached photos robbed the TCF Bank in the area of 23 Mile Rd. and DW Seaton Rd. The suspect fled the bank on foot. A note was produced and no weapon was observed only implied.

The investigation is continuing if anyone can identify the suspect please contact Det. Dawidowicz at 586-949-4265.
