Dublin General Store Fire in Manistee County Intentionally Set

WELLSTON, MI – Manistee County Sheriff John O’Hagan is investigating the structure fire that destroyed the Dublin General Store, located at 18372 Hoxeyville Road, in Norman Township, on Saturday August 31st, 2019. Today he briefed the media and has stated that they have evidence that the blaze was intentionally set.

The Michigan State Police Fire Investigator was on scene today with his K9 that specializes in accelerants used in arson cases. Further lab test results are pending.

Sheriff O’Hagan stated that the investigation is very complex and that patience needs to be taken in getting the investigation right.
