Lansing Man Charged with Armed Robbery at Shroyer’s Auto Parts

LANSING, MI – Cory Dean Coddington, a 38-year-old Lansing man, was arraigned today at the 55th district court on Armed Robbery, Felonious Assault and Habitual Offender charges. His next court date is September 19th at 830 a.m. in front of Judge Boyd. His bond was set at $250,000.00.Cory Coddington

On Sunday September 8th, 2019, at 800 a.m., Ingham County Sheriff deputies responded to Shroyer’s Auto Parts, located at 2740 S Martin Luther King, in Delhi Township, for the report of an armed robbery.

The lone employee reported that he was physically assaulted by a subject dressed in dark clothing. During the struggle the suspect, Cory Coddington, threatened the employee with a knife. The suspect fled from the business with vehicle keys, cash and other items.

Sheriff’s Detectives developed a suspect and located him later that afternoon at a residence in south Lansing. Cory Coddington fled the residence and a short foot pursuit ensued which resulted in the his arrest.

Based on records from the Michigan Department of Corrections, Cory Coddington was previously convicted of:

  • Assault – Aggravated
  • Controlled Substance-Possession Of Marijuana
  • Controlled Substance-Delivery/Manufacture-ECSTASY/MDMA
  • Operating Intoxicated/Impaired/Controlled Substance – 3rd
  • Operating-Lic Susp, Revok., Denied/Allowing Susp.Per to Oper
