Rochester Hills Woman found Dead in Laundry Room of Apartment Building

ROCHESTER HILLS, MI – On Monday September 9th, 2019, at 1:56PM, Oakland County Sheriff’s Deputies and the City of Rochester Hills Fire Department responded to the Bedford Square Apartments on Tienken Rd. on a possible deceased person in the community laundry room.death_investigation

A resident of the apartment complex had gone into the laundry room and found a woman, believed to be in her 60’s, lying on her back near the washing machine. The resident reported that the victim may be dead when they call 911.

Paramedics from the Rochester Hills Fire Department arrived and determined the woman was beyond help. Telemetry was sent to Ascension-Providence Hospital – Rochester where a physician provided a time of death.

The woman was identified as a 65-year-old resident of the apartment building. Her apartment keys were found at the scene. Deputies made entry into the her apartment. A Detective and an Investigator from the Oakland County Medical Examiner’s Office responded to the scene to begin their investigation.

According to the next-of-kin, the victim suffered from high blood pressure and a thyroid condition but was otherwise healthy.

An autopsy has been scheduled. The incident remains under investigation.
