Woman Charged in Three Arsons of Uninhabited Dwellings

DETROIT, MI – Keiashia Alexis Love, 23-years-old, is being charged in connection with the arson of three separate uninhabited dwellings in Detroit.

13900 Block of Eastwood Street

On June 24, 2019, the Detroit Fire Department was dispatched to an address in the 13900 block of Eastwood Street and extinguished a fire of an unoccupied single family dwelling. Investigation by the DFD determined the fire was caused by arson. It is alleged the defendant intentionally started the fire.

14200 Block of Saratoga Avenue

On August 4, 2019, the Detroit Fire Department was dispatched to an address in the 14200 block of Saratoga Avenue and extinguished a fire of an unoccupied single family dwelling. It is alleged the defendant intentionally started the fire.

14400 Block of Linnhurst Street

On August 19, 2019, the Detroit Fire Department was dispatched to an address in the 14400 blockLinnhurst Street and extinguished a fire of an unoccupied single family dwelling. It is alleged that Keiashia Love intentionally started the fire.

Investigation by the Detroit Arson Task Force led to the arrest of Keiashia Love.

Keiashia Love has been charged with three counts of Third Degree Arson and one count of Arson – Preparation to Burn Real Property. She is expected to be arraigned this afternoon in 36th District Court.
