PONTIAC, MI – A 19-year-old suspect has been identified and detectives are currently looking for him for attempted murder. He is wanted in connection with a shooting that took place on Saturday September 21st, 2019.
At approximately 4:43PM, Oakland County Sheriff Deputies responded to McLaren Oakland Hospital on the report of a subject with a gunshot wound to the head.
Deputies located a person at the hospital who said he transported the victim. The 18-year-old man stated he was driving his vehicle in the area of Michigan Ave. and Edith when a gray Chrysler Avenger pulled up next to him, pointed a gun out the window and fired one shot into his vehicle. The suspect vehicle then fled toward Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. The man stated that his 21-year-old girlfriend, the victim, who was sitting in the passenger seat, had been shot in the head and that he then drove her to the hospital.
Detectives and the Forensic Science Crime Lab Unit responded to process the vehicle and the scene of the shooting. The victim is listed in critical condition.
The suspects name has not yet been released to the public. The investigation is ongoing.
