Three Charged in Connection to Triple Homicide in Flint

FLINT, MI – Three individuals have been charged in connection to Friday night’s triple homicide in the city of Flint.

Quatrail Terell Smith, 17-years-old, Jovana Christina King, 28-years-old, and Shiron Shirell Hamlet, 18-years-old, all of Flint, have been charged in connection to a shooting incident that occurred around 6:45 p.m. Friday, September 20th in the 1500 block of Illinois Avenue, between Olive and Iowa Avenues.

Three victims were pronounced dead at the scene and all three had gunshot wounds.

Quatrail Smith is charged with nine felony counts including three counts of first degree murder, possession of a firearm by a felon, carry a concealed weapon, and four counts of felony firearm.

Jovana King is charged with carrying a concealed weapon and two drug possession counts while Shiron Hamlet stands charged with one count of carrying a concealed weapon.

Smith, King, and Hamlet were arraigned in 67th District Court this morning and preliminary examinations will be scheduled.
