Fremont Chief of Police Arrested on Sexual Assault Charges

FREMONT, MI – Fremont Police Chief Randall Wright has been arraigned in both Kent and Ingham Counties on Criminal Sexual Conduct-Fourth Degree charges. Wright was arraigned in Kent County on October 2nd and in Ingham County this afternoon.

The charges are a result of a three-month investigation into Wright’s actions during a June 5th, 2019, private bus trip to Tiger Stadium. During the return trip, the female victim alleges she was sexually assaulted by Wright as the bus traveled through the two involved counties.

Criminal Sexual Conduct – Fourth Degree involves sexual contact with another person using force or coercion and is high court misdemeanor, punishable by up to 2 years in prison.

Randall Wright is a 48-year-old Fremont resident and the current Chief of Police in Fremont, Michigan.
