ROCHESTER HILLS, MI – Something obviously went wrong in the relationship between a younger man and his older girlfriend causing her to stab him at a hotel in Rochester Hills last night.
On Saturday October 12th, 2019, Oakland County Sheriff Deputies and the City of Rochester Hills Fire Department responded to the Woodspring Suites Hotel located at 2576 Market Place Circle on the report of a subject who had been stabbed.
The caller indicated that there was a man at the front door who appeared to have been stabbed. It was unclear if there was anyone else injured.
Upon their arrival, deputies located the injured 21-year-old man lying on the floor, just inside the front lobby. Deputies spoke with the injured subject and determined that he was the only victim and that he had been assaulted by his 33-year-old live-in girlfriend. Both the victim and the assailant are residents of Detroit.
A detective responded to the scene to begin his investigation. The victim was treated for a laceration to his hand by Paramedics from the City of Rochester Hills Fire Department. The woman responsible for the stabbing was located and arrested for Felonious Assault.
The knife used to injure her boyfriend was recovered from inside the room they had been staying in. The woman was lodged in the Oakland County Jail pending the issuance of criminal charges.
