DETROIT, MI – Customers of Verizon Wireless and other service providers who use Verizon towers have been experiencing outages of service. Michigan is one of the hardest impacted areas for the outage.
A large outage has been reported for Verizon network users. The cause of the outage has not been determined and it is unclear as to when the actual service outage began. As close as we can tell, it appears the outage began at about 2:00AM.
The outage is having an effect on data, calls, and texting services. No official statement has been given by Verizon what is causing the outage.
Verizon posted to Twitter the following: ‘Verizon is currently experiencing a wireless network issue in your area. Our technicians are aware of this issue and are working to resolve it quickly.’ In another post to Twitter that was found the company stated: ‘Some customers, primarily in the Midwest area, are currently experiencing interruptions in 4G LTE services. Our engineers are aware of this issue and are working to resolve it quickly.’
