CHESTERFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI – A man who walked into the Fifth Third Bank in Chesterfield Township and robbed it all while he used his cellphone to have a conversation with someone at the same time.
On Wednesday October 16th, 2019, at 2:35 PM, the Fifth Third Bank located at 47000 Gratiot Avenue was robbed.
The unknown black male suspect fled the bank on foot with an unknown amount of cash. Officers from the Chesterfield Township Police Department, including the K9 unit, searched the area of 21 Mile and Gratiot for the suspect -but were not able to locate him.
The Chesterfield Township Police Detective Bureau and the FBI are currently investigating this bank robbery, as well as the previous bank robbery that occurred in Chesterfield Township at the Citizens Bank on October 2nd. It is unknown at this time if the two robberies are connected.
