CLARKSTON, MI – A casual party ended in an argument and gunshots being fired in Brandon Township on Saturday October 19th, 2019.
Oakland County Sheriff Deputies responded to the 3700 block of Pinoak Street on the report of shots being fired outside of the residence.
Upon arrival, Deputies spoke with the homeowner who indicated that he had hosted a party at his residence. A verbal argument ensued between a 57-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman who had attended the party.
The homeowner asked the man to leave the property. Prior to his leaving the party, the suspect made verbal threats that he would return with a handgun.
A short time later, the man returned and began pounding on the front door of the home. It was at that moment that the woman, who had been involved in the earlier argument with the man who was now pounding at the front door, pulled out a gun. She proceeded to fire gunshots at the man on the outside of the house at the front door from inside.
As the man retreated to a nearby vehicle, several more gunshots were fired at him from the residence.
Prior to the Deputy’s arrival, the subject who was outside of the residence fled the scene in a black or brown Chevrolet Suburban. It was not clear whether the subject had been struck by the gunshots that had been fired at him.
An OCSO Evidence Technician responded to process the scene. Numerous spent shell casings were recovered from inside of the home. Outside of the residence, Deputies observed that windows belonging to two vehicles parked in front of the home had been shattered and a bullet had struck a hand railing. The front window of the residence also had two holes from the woman’s gunfire.
Detectives responded to the scene. Several subjects from inside the residence were interviewed. The two subjects who accompanied the man back to the party, one being the driver and the other a passenger, were also interviewed. There were no reported injuries. Detectives are still attempting to locate the man who had fled the scene. The incident remains under investigation.
