ROSEVILLE, MI – A 64-year-old Roseville man is dead following a shooting that took place on Thursday evening, October 24th, 2019.
Officers responded to a home in the 19400 block of 14 Mile Road, which is near Kelly Road, at about 6:45pm, on a report of gunshots fired.
Upon arrival officers found a 64-year-old woman inside of the home unharmed. Her 64-year-old husband and her 44-year-old son were alive but in critical condition.
The woman’s husband was despondent, reportedly, concerning a pending move. He made statements to the effect that he might harm himself. The man went to his bedroom where he retrieved a handgun.
The son being concerned for his father went to the bedroom to speak with his father. As the son entered the bedroom his father shot him multiple times. The father then turned the gun on himself. The man was pronounced dead at the hospital at about 11:30pm.
The son was transported to Macomb McLaren Hospital where he remains in critical condition.
