Detroit Police want to Identify Suspect after finding Man Shot to Death on Winthrop Street

DETROIT, MI – Detroit Police need assistance from the public to solve the murder of a 51-year-old man who was found fatally shot to death on Monday, October 7th, 2019.Police-Line

The Detroit Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect involved in a homicide that occurred on the city’s west side.

On Monday, October 7, 2019, in the 19500 block of Winthrop at approximately 4:10 p.m., officers responded to call for a deceased body observed in the area. Upon arrival, Officers observed a 51-year-old male victim lying in the rear of a garage fatally shot.

Through an investigation it was determined that the victim was known to frequent the areas of West 7 Mile/Southfield to West 7 Mile/Meyers.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5ft11, 195 lbs, medium brown complexion, brown eyes, and black/gray hair. The suspect was last seen wearing a red and black sweater, dark blue jeans and red Puma gym shoes.
