PONTIAC, MI -The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in a strong-arm robbery incident which occurred on October 23rd, 2019, at 2:23pm in downtown Pontiac. The incident occurred at the bus stop located at 10 Water Street.
The victim, a medical resident student who works at McLaren Oakland Hospital, had left work and went to the bus stop. At this point, the suspect approached the victim and repeatedly punched him and robbed him of his iPhone 11. The victim suffered extreme injuries which required surgery to his jaw and has had to have his mouth wired shut.
The suspect is a black male, approximately 18-20 years old, with a thin build and is between 5’10 and 6’0 tall. He was wearing a pink hoodie with a black design on the front, dark sweatpants, flip flops, and a black backpack. He was riding a dark colored BMX-style bike with red rims.
