DETROIT, MI – On Thursday November 21st, 2019, at approximately 10:35 am, in the area of Meyers and Puritan, a 23-year-old man was picking up another male individual when the driver of the vehicle heard gunshots being fired.
The driver attempted to drive away from the scene. It is at that time that he felt pain and realized that he suffered a gunshot wound and collided with a light pole in the area.
Medics arrived to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital where he is listed in temporary serious condition.
The passenger sustained a fatal gunshot wound to his body and was pronounced dead at the scene per medics.
