Man Sentenced to Prison in Fenton Tim Horton’s Video Recording case

FLINT, MI – A 21-year-old Grand Blanc Township man has been sentenced to prison for videotaping employees in the bathroom at a Fenton Tim Hortons between 2016 and 2018.Eric Scott Andrews

Eric Scott Andrews Jr., 21-years-old, was sentenced to a minimum term of three years in prison after he plead guilty to three felony counts including child sexually abusive activity, using a computer to commit a crime, and capturing an image of an unclothed person.

The illicit materials were discovered after U.S. Department of Homeland Security spotted something suspicious online and called upon the Michigan State Police Internet Crimes Against Children task force to assist. As part of the investigation, State Police searched Andrews’ cell phone and laptop and found various videos and images of partially unclothed employees.

The videos were recorded in an employee bathroom at the Tim Horton’s on Silver Lake Road between 2016-2018. Andrews was an employee of the restaurant at the time.

“I want to commend the Michigan State Police and U.S. Department of Homeland Security for being alert and vigilant in pursuing this matter,” said Prosecutor Leyton.

“This is a perfect example of how law enforcement at the federal, state and local levels of government can communicate and work together to protect young people and others from being victims of such crimes,” he said.
