DETROIT, MI – The Detroit Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect involved in a fatal Hit & Run incident that occurred on the city’s west side the day after Christmas.Fenkell Fatal Hit&Run vehicle

On December 26th, 2019, at approximately 5:50 p.m., in the area of Fenkell and Freeland, a 54-year old woman  was fatally struck by a vehicle going eastbound on Fenkell.

The vehicle fled the scene in an unknown direction. The victim was transported to a local hospital by medics where she was pronounced dead upon arrival.

The vehicle is described as a red work van with a white driver’s side door and a ladder rack on the roof.
