FLINT, MI – On Friday January 17th, 2020, Flint Police responded to an Armed Robbery that had just occurred in the 3600 block of Corunna Road. The victim reported that a subject approached him with a gun and demanded money.
After complying, the victim called 911 while following the subject. Flint Police caught up to the subject near Van Slyke & Hemphill where he was arrested. A handgun and the victim’s property were recovered.
The subject, Quinton Nelson, 35-years-old, has been charged and arraigned on this case for Armed Robbery, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, CCW and two counts of Felony Firearm.
While the incident ended peacefully for all involved, Flint Police would like to caution the public in regards to following or approaching subjects who may be dangerous. Please do not unnecessarily put yourself in harm’s way.
