Detroit Police Officer Injured when Vehicle Rear-ends Scout Car

DETROIT, MI - On Thursday January 23rd, 2020, at approximately 2:40 p.m., a Detroit Police Officer was conducting a traffic stop on Gratiot near Lappin when he was rear ended by a 23-year-old woman driving of a silver Nissan Murano. Police-Line


The officer was inside of the scout car at the time of the incident.


Suspected narcotics were recovered from the driver and she was taken into custody for VSCA (Violation of Substance Control Act).


The officer was transported to the local hospital and listed in stable condition. No other injuries reported. The investigations is ongoing.
