CHEBOYGAN, MI – David Roger Jullette ll, 54-years-old, from Cheboygan, was taken into custody at 6:56pm this evening in Cheboygan County.
Sheriff Clarmont was on the scene when the Michigan State Police Emergency Response Team gained entry into a trailer in the area of Trudeau Rd and Orchard Beach Rd. “We had gathered information that led us to the area where law enforcement had located David Jullette’s vehicle late this afternoon,” said Clarmont. The Sheriff said the property is known by Jullette and known to be abandoned this time of year.
The Sheriff stated throughout the day his department has been working with the Michigan State Police Fugitive Team and the Emergency Response Team along with MSP troopers and the Michigan DNR saturating different areas of the county. “Once we found the car and his foot impressions in the snow we set up a perimeter around the area we believed him to be. At that time we had contact with the Cheboygan County Prosecutor to draft a search warrant for the trailer on the property. Once the search warrant was obtained the ES Team entered and made the arrest without incident,” said Clarmont.
“I want to commend my deputies, the Michigan State Police and DNR for their outstanding work in bringing this to a safe conclusion,” said Clarmont Sheriff Clarmont said Jullette is now lodged in the Cheboygan County Jail and should be arraigned sometime tomorrow.
“This investigation is still ongoing and from what we are finding out we expect more charges as a result,” said Clarmont.
