DEARBORN, MI – Police in Dearborn are still looking for a hit and run driver that severely injured a 51-year-old man late Saturday afternoon.Dearborn Hit and Run

On Saturday, February 8, 2020, at approximately 5:30PM, the Dearborn Police responded to the report of a hit and run accident in the area of Warren Ave and Payne Street. A bicyclist was struck by a vehicle while traveling on the westbound shoulder of Warren Ave. The suspect vehicle failed to stop after the collision and fled from the scene.

The victim, a 51-year-old Dearborn resident, was transported to Dearborn Beaumont Hospital where he is currently listed in critical condition from injuries sustained from the accident. The incident was captured on video and an image of the suspect vehicle, shown to the right was obtained.

This is an on-going investigation and the Dearborn Police are still gathering evidence and canvassing the area where this incident occurred. Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad stated, “The Dearborn Police Department will aggressively investigate this incident. We extend our support to the victim and his family during this difficult time.”
