DETROIT, MI – Darnell Rayshawn Hall, 29-years-old, has been formally charged in connection with the murder of his female friend Porcha E. Wheeler, 27-years-old, both of Detroit.

On February 7th, 2020, Detroit police officers were dispatched to Hall’s apartment in the 1600 block of Antietam in Detroit. The officers observed Ms. Wheeler inside the apartment suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. She was pronounced dead by medics that arrived at the scene. Darnell Hall was present and arrested by officers at the scene.

On the afternoon of February 10th, 2020, Darnell Hall was charged with First Degree Murder and Felony Firearm.


He arraigned was remanded to jail by Magistrate Joseph Boyer on the same day. He received a Probable Cause Conference on February 24, 2020, and a Preliminary Examination date of March 2, 2020, both before Judge Lynise Weekes.
