Murdered Woman may not have been a Resident of Detroit

DETROIT, MI – Porcha Wheeler, who was allegedly murdered by Darnell Hall, may not have been a resident of Detroit as reported by the Wayne County Prosecutors Office.

The press release stated that both Procha Wheeler, 27-years-old and Darnell Hall, 29-years-old, were both residents of Detroit.  Information that MI Headlines received this evening is that she might actually be a resident of Middletown, New York.

On February 7th, 2020, Detroit police officers were dispatched to Hall’s apartment in the 1600 block of Antietam in Detroit. The officers observed Ms. Wheeler inside the apartment suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. She was pronounced dead by medics that arrived at the scene. Darnell Hall was present and arrested by officers at the scene.

A Go Fund Me account had been established by Porcha Wheeler’s brother to assist the family with funeral expenses. Moreover they were said to be trying to raise enough money to get her body back home from the information we were provided. When the brother established the account, he set a goal of raising $50,000 which seemed suspicious to many on social media. The Go Fund Me account has since been closed down.

On the afternoon of February 10th, 2020, Darnell Hall was charged with First Degree Murder and Felony Firearm.

We will follow up with the Wayne County Prosecutors office tomorrow morning for clarification.
