River Rouge Double Murder Suspect Wanted for 8 Mile Murder Overnight [Video]

DETROIT, MI – Kenyel William Brown, 40-years-old, has been identified as a Person of Interest in the murder that took place last night on 8 Mile Rd in Detroit. He has a long criminal history involving narcotics and weapon offenses. He is considered Armed and Dangerous. kenyel brown

The U.S. Marshals Service Detroit Fugitive Apprehension Team, in conjunction with the River Rouge Police Department, are offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information directly leading to the arrest of Kenyel Brown who was involved in a triple shooting January 31st, 2020, in River Rouge, which left two dead and one critically injured.

Brown has two active felony murder warrants out of River Rouge for his arrest.

He is also now wanted in another murder that took over night.  On Thursday, February 20th, 2020, at approximately 11:00 P.M. in the 16000 block of E. 8 Mile Road. A 41-year-old man, Amir Thaxton,  was found inside Next Level T-Shirt suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. Medics responded and pronounced Amir Thaxton deceased.

Investigators believe the Person of Interest, identified as Kenyal William Brown, may have information pertaining to this incident. Again, Brown is considered Armed and Very Dangerous. He was last seen driving a black 2008-2012 Dodge Caravan, Texas license plate NXL – 7787.

The US Marshalls have increased their reward from $5,000 to $10,000 for information leading to his arrest.
