MUSKEGON, MI – The body of a man that was recovered near a shoreline of Lake Michigan in Ottawa County has been identified as 30-year-old Ramal Roby.
On Friday March 27th, 2020, a forensic autopsy was from performed on the body of a man that was found in Lake Michigan. The examination was performed by Dr. David Start at Blodgett Hospital in Grand Rapids.
The cause of death was determined to be accidental drowning.
The body has been positively identified as 30-year-old Ramal Roby from Muskegon City.
As you may recall from earlier news reports Ramal Roby went missing on February 25th, 2020, and was presumed drowned at that point. Sheriff Office detectives have been in contact with investigators from the Muskegon Police Department since last evening.
At this point the OCSO will turn over the investigation to the MPD.
