29 yr old Shot and Killed during Home Invasion on Detroit’s West Side [DPD Dispatch Audio]

DETROIT, MI – At approximately 5:20AM on April 1st, 2020 a 29 year old man was shot and killed in his home on Stout Street on Detroit’s west side.fatal shooting

Two men reportedly broke into the man’s home in the 15400 block of Stout Street where they confronted him in his bedroom. They then fatally shot the victim who has been identified as Nathan Gordon.

The suspects forced their way into the home by kicking in the front door. They demanded money from the victim. The victim told the suspects he did not have any. A second person inside of the home confronted them.  That is when one of the suspects shot and killed Nathan Gordon.

The victim was the father of a 2 year old boy.

Both suspects were wearing face masks that were either white or light in color. One man is described at being approximately 6ft tall and 220 lbs. They both fled the scene in an unknown direction.

The crime scene is near Evergreen Road and Fenkell.

At 6:11am evidence techs were dispatched to process the scene.
