ST. IGNACE, MI – At a time when we are all longing for something good to read or hear about, this story about Eli Moran’s birthday goes to show that pure kindness is out there. This Michigan State Police Trooper went above and beyond for a little boy.
On Sunday April 7th, 2020, Tpr. Barthelemy from the Michigan State Police St. Ignace Post learned that Eli Moran was upset because his birthday party had to be cancelled due to social distancing.
Since Eli could not have a party, Tpr. Barthelemy wanted to help him celebrate his special day. Tpr. Barthelemy with the help of local officers from the St. Ignace City Police Department, St. Ignace Tribal Police Department, and other Michigan State Troopers and Motor Carrier Officers, organized a small procession in Eli’s honor.
Eli and his family stood outside of their residence as several local officers drove by with their emergency lights on. Eli and his brothers were given some Michigan State Police gear and then the officers were on their way. Happy Sixth Birthday Eli.
