MSP Trooper Injured in Plymouth Township Crash

PLYMOUTH TOWNSHIP, MI – An MSP (Michigan State Police) Trooper was injured this Saturday morning when a driver was unable to stop and then stuck the officers patrol vehicle.

On April 18th, 2020, at approximately 6:00 A.M., troopers were policing a single car crash on westbound M-14 & Sheldon in Plymouth Township.

The trooper was seated in his car on the right shoulder when a 20 year old woman was unable to stop and struck the back of the police car. The trooper and the female driver were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Both had non life threatening injuries.

Due to the amount of crashes and traffic on the roads at that time of day, additional troopers had to be called in and at times there were over twenty crashes in the district due to people driving too fast for conditions. Please Stay Home and Stay Safe. Travel only when needed.
