TAYLOR, MI – Fredrick Larry Williams 52-years-old, of Taylor, has been charged in connection with the non-fatal shooting of his 28-year-old son.

On May 14, 2020, at approximately 9:11 a.m., Taylor police officers were dispatched to a residence in the 25000 block of Myler Street in response to a possible shooting.  Upon arrival, the officers discovered two individuals outside, in front of the residence.  One of the individuals was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.  Medics arrived on the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.  It is alleged that after an argument with his son escalated into a physical altercation, Defendant Williams fired a handgun, striking the victim.
