Detroit Police Report 4 Separate Non-fatal Shootings in a 3 hour Period

DETROIT, MI – Detroit Police have reported that 4 separate non-fatal shootings took place in a 3 hour period from 10:00pm on May 19th to 1:15 a.m. on May 20th, 2020.

On May 19, 2020 at approximately 10:00 p.m. in the 14900 block of Lindsey, the 35 year old male victim was sitting in his white 2018 Jeep Compass in the driveway of a home on Lindsay.

An unknown suspect approached and demanded money, then fired shots, striking the victim in the body. The victim was transported to a local hospital by medics and was listed in serious condition. The circumstances surrounding this incident are still being investigated.

The second reported shooting took place on May 20th, 2020, at approximately 12:25 a.m., in the area of 1 E. State Fair.

The 48 year old female victim left the gas station and was walking with her son when an unknown suspect fired shots from inside of a brown, or tan Mercury Marquis, striking the victim in the body. She was transported to a local hospital by medics and listed in serious condition. The circumstances surrounding this incident are still being investigated.

The 3rd shooting incident took place on May 20th, 2020, at approximately 1:00 a.m., in the 15000 block of Snowden.

The 13 year old female victim was sitting on the couch when an unknown suspect fired a shot into the house, striking her. She was treated and released by medics at scene for a graze wound to the body. The circumstances surrounding this incident are still being investigated.

The final reported shooting took place on May 20th, 2020, at approximately 1:15 a.m., in the 20000 block of W. Seven Mile Rd.

The 20 year old male victim pulled into the gas station and was approached by the suspects who demanded he victim’s tan 2003 Cadillac CTS. When the victim refused and attempted to drive off, the suspects fired shots into the vehicle, striking the victim in the body. The victim was transported to a local hospital by medics and was listed in temp. serious condition. The circumstances surrounding this incident are still being investigated.
