Man Arrested for Shooting Incident near Schoolcraft and Birwood

DETROIT, MI – On Tuesday May 26th, 2020, at approximately 4:40a.m., in the area of Schoolcraft and Birwood, the suspect, a 47-year old man, went to the location to pick up a friend when the victim, a 46-year old man, allegedly walked up to him and grabbed him, resulting in the suspect pulling out a weapon and allegedly shooting him.

The victim was transported to a local hospital by Medics where he was listed in critical condition. The suspect remained at the scene and attempted to administered aid to the victim.  The suspect was also arrested upon officers arrival.
