DEARBORN, MI – Dearborn Police need assistance to help identify and locate the driver of the vehicle in the attached photo. The driver of that vehicle struck the bicyclist and then fled the scene.
On Thursday May 28th, 2020, at approximately 2:30pm, the Dearborn Police responded to Bingham and Ford Rd. for a crash between a vehicle and bicyclist.
The investigation revealed that a silver four-door sedan entering southbound Bingham from Ford Rd. made contact with a bicyclist who was crossing Bingham eastbound. The driver of the sedan failed to stop after the collision and continued south on Bingham. The bicyclist who sustained injuries has been released from the hospital and is recovering.
The Dearborn Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance identifying the driver of the vehicle involved in this incident.
Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad stated, “We are fortunate the bicyclist did not suffer more severe injuries. Our relationship with the community is our greatest asset. With the help of the community I am confident we can identify the driver of the vehicle.”
