DETROIT, MI – Detroit Police have just reported that a nonfatal shooting that took place on Asbury Park has become a homicide.

On Friday June 19th, 2020, at approximately 6:43 p.m., in the 14600 block of Asbury Park, a 27-year-old man was cleaning the interior of his vehicle when he was shot.

Four black males were seen leaving the location, possibly in a gray SUV. The victim was transported to a local hospital by medics where he was listed in critical condition until he died tonight from his injuries.  

The circumstances surrounding this incident are still being investigated.
