Wolverine Man Arrested for Home Invasion and Malicious Destruction of Property

CHEBOYGAN, MI – On Monday June 15th, 2020, at approximately 9:45pm, Troopers from the Michigan State Police Gaylord Post were dispatched to a residence on Ballard Street in Wolverine on a report of a home invasion. The investigation led to the arrest of a Wolverine Man for Home Invasion and Malicious Destruction of Property.

The home owner stated that she and two other people were inside of the home at the time the incident occurred. The suspect, 46-year-old Donnie Poole of Wolverine, had allegedly came to the residence to confront a man about an incident involving several teenage girls. Poole kicked in the door and went inside searching for the man who was hiding upstairs. Poole was unable to locate the man and left. Poole later turned himself into police.

Poole was lodged in the Cheboygan County Jail. He was arraigned in the 89th District Court in Cheboygan on one count of Felony Home Invasion and one count of Malicious Destruction of Property. He has since been released on bond. His next court appearance is on June 29th, 2020.
