Westland Police Need Tips to Identify Carjacking Suspect [Video]

WESTLAND, MI – Police in Westland need your help to identify a man wanted for a recent carjacking that took place in the parking lot of the Westland Food Store on Venoy Rd.

The Westland Police are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a subject wanted for a carjacking that took place on May 25, 2020 at approximately 8:20 P.M.

The victim was exiting the Westland Food Store located at 1690 S. Venoy Rd. when he observed the suspect running toward him and his vehicle which was parked in the lot. The suspect entered the victim’s vehicle and drove it away from the location southbound on Venoy Rd.

The suspect is described as a W/M, mid to late 20’s, 5’07”-5’10”, thin build with a very short dark colored hair. The suspect had a large tattoo on the right side of his chest, and was wearing green camouflage shorts.

The vehicle is a black 2009 Toyota Corolla with a “thin blue line” and “thin red line” American flag stickers on the rear windshield.
