2 Pedestrians Killed in Monroe County Fatal Hit and Run

MONROE COUNTY, MI – Michigan State Police Troopers from the Brighton Post were dispatched to the scene of a double fatal hit and run traffic crash on Friday June 26th, 2020.

The crash occurred at 4:05 PM in the area of Milan-Oakville Rd and Gooding Rd on the border of Washtenaw and Monroe Counties.

The preliminary investigation shows a vehicle struck 2 pedestrians then fled the scene. The suspect vehicle is possibly black or grey in color and is missing the front bumper or parts of the bumper.

The deceased victims are a 29-year-old woman from Whitaker and a 25-year-old woman from Ypsilanti. The case remains under investigation to locate the vehicle that fled.
